Save your time and money and plan a trip to Cherry Creek or Park Meadows, as it is quite clear that the current owner/s of both Colorado Springs malls care about money and not about quality.

It is disheartening to hear that people from Citadel mall take the extra 15 minute drive to visit our crummy mall. If I am going to take the time to go to a mall, I would rather plan it around a trip to Denver. One of those anchor stores was demolished to build more expensive apartments. Three out of six anchor locations are empty.
#Battery store colorado springs cracked
Nothing has been updated, from the rather creepy long hallways to restrooms, to the cracked flooring, overall color scheme, dirty fountain, and broken escalators. Fast forward nearly 25 years and it's so sad that I choose not to go to the mall anymore. ALL the shop spaces were full, the fountain was clean and the space was inviting and friendly. There was an ice skating rink and an arcade. Know those murals on the wall in the food court? Yup, that was where food stalls were. It had an American Girls store, a glass blower boutique, Thomas Kincaid Art Gallery, a posh restaurant on the first floor below the food court, and ALL those blank walls in the food court were actually food stalls. Back at the end of the 90's, this mall had all anchor stores filled by the top department stores of the mall era. I have lived in Colorado Springs for over twenty years now, and I remember a much different mall. This is NOT the kind of place I will be spending money at. And I should mention that they also have hand sanitizer dispenser available simply for show because the one I attempted to use was dry. I can only imagine that employees are just using the restroom and not properly washing their hands and then going back and making people’s food and they’re touching things in the store that customers will eventually pick up, all with nasty hands. Because of this I left without shopping or eating and I WILL NOT RETURN TO EAT OR DRINK HERE. I literally had to go from sink to sink just for a drop. I would like for someone to PLEASE explain to me how the bathroom nearest to the food court has NO SOAP, so that people can eat with clean hands? Over a period of 2 weeks I was not able to just hit the soap dispenser and get soap even one time. The women’s restroom, downstairs from the food court.

Each of the 3 times I went to wash my hands every last soap dispenser was either bone dry or was only giving tiny drops of soap. Of the 4 visits, I used the restroom 3 times, today being the third. Today was my fourth visit to Citadel Mall.
